Holding It Together with Pins, Rods & Screws (Tote Bag)
Like many in the disability community, Sammi has had lots of surgeries, and has metal telescoping rods and screws in her arms, legs and back (and pins in her left hip)! This design "Holding it (my body) together with pins, rods & screws") is a wordplay for others with a surgery involving the same types of metal in their body! The tiny colored circles with dashes in them, in the bottom rows of type, are screws (see the close-up picture of the design).
